If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?I often like to make comparisons between God and us and any parent with their child.

For any parents, think of how you treat your children. Sometimes you make mistakes, sometimes you act selfishly, sometimes you are too proud or hurt to do what you know is the right thing. Your children will still love you and understand and will be OK.

Consider this: God is perfect. He never makes these mistakes. EVER. Think how much better all of us will be with Him as our Father.Dear Father, I am so grateful and fortunate that You love me. Thank you for being a wonderful guide for me in all of my relationships, knowing full well how to act to any person that I come in contact with in any situation.

I come before You in prayer, asking that You will help me to be similar to You as a parent, spouse, friend, colleague, and even as a stranger. I pray that I can positively affect everyone and everything around me, as You most certainly have. Amen.
