Dear God, I pray that I will always take my body for what it is – a vessel for your glory. May my actions be a reflection of your glory, Lord, and never of darkness.

Father, I ask that you help me remain different to this world as I choose to follow you and not what is deemed “popular opinion” by the world. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.

I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

Our bodies are referred to as the ‘temple of the Holy Spirit’ because the Spirit of God resides within us. That means we need to treat our bodies with the love and respect they deserve.

In everything we do, let it be honorable. May the things we do with our body glorify God and not counter His ways. We are not to become one with the ways of the world, but rather, we are to let our minds be transformed so that we are in line with Christ.
